About this opportunity
The Higher Education Students' Financing Scheme (Students Loan Scheme) is a Government of Uganda initiative administered by the Higher Education Students' Financing Board (HESFB). The scheme provides financial support to academically qualified but financially disadvantaged Ugandan students pursuing approved undergraduate programmes at participating higher education institutions. The loan is intended to increase access to quality higher education by covering approved academic costs, enabling deserving students to pursue university education regardless of their financial background. Priority is typically given to applicants enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Health Sciences, Agriculture, and other nationally prioritized programmes. Applicants are encouraged to carefully read the official application guidelines, ensure they meet all eligibility requirements, and submit complete applications before the stated deadline.
