About this opportunity

Applications are now open for the 2026 Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, UNESCO's flagship global leadership initiative for emerging changemakers committed to promoting peace, inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and social cohesion. The 2026 edition explores the theme "Human Connection and Dialogue in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", encouraging participants to examine how AI is transforming communication, culture, inclusion, and peacebuilding while developing innovative dialogue-based solutions for their communities. Selected participants will join a global cohort of 50 emerging leaders from around the world and receive advanced leadership training, mentorship from international experts, access to UNESCO's global network, and USD 10,000 in seed funding to implement a community-based intercultural dialogue initiative. The programme concludes with participation in UNESCO's Global Youth Dialogue for Peace and long-term membership in the UNESCO Youth for Peace Global Alumni Network.
